You should have received an email from Britannia Global Markets which details the process, and contains the “Form of Consent and Transfer Notice” for you to sign and return to your Relationship Manager. Shard Capital will then send you a link for you to agree Terms of Business and consent. Once your account has been opened you will be notified including to the timings of transfer of your portfolio. If you have any questions, please consult your existing Relationship Manager.

No, upon your consent the transfer process will not involve any sales and repurchases, the transfer process will be from Britannia Global Markets custody to Shard Capital custody. For those using external banks there is no transfer of assets. If you have assets which cannot be transferred, you will be notified by your Relationship Manager
Shard Capital will coordinate with Britannia Global Markets to transfer your assets. All you have to do is to instruct them by signing the letter in the Britannia email you have received, and to accept our Terms of Business via the link.
No, all transfer costs are absorbed by Shard Capital and Britannia Global Markets.
You will need to provide your consent and instruction to proceed to Britannia Global Markets by 5th February. Your assets/securities will then be transferred to Shard Capital on the week commencing 26th February 2024. Your Relationship Manager will be fully up to speed with these timings.
It is entirely your choice if you decide to move your portfolio to Shard Capital or elsewhere. We are confident that you will find the service offering at Shard Capital second to none and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.
We aim to make this process as simple and pain free for you. To give you the client comfort, Shard Capital is committed to complying with all necessary regulations. By consenting to the transfer of data, your existing files will move to Shard Capital. They will be reassessed to meet current rules, at times it may be necessary to provide more explanation or documentation.

No, historical statements are available from Britannia Global Markets and Shard Capital for you to complete necessary tax returns. Shard Capital is a UK custodian and has offshore custody capabilities through Shard Capital Jersey and through relationships with external banks in Switzerland and other jurisdictions. We welcome further discussion if this may be of interest to you.
Both Britannia Global Markets and Shard Capital are Financial Conduct Authority regulated entities and subject to the UK’s very strict Client Asset rules which are set by them, and therefore the safety of your assets during transfer are not impacted.

No, under the immigration rules you are permitted to move investment management firms.
Yes, we are able to write necessary letters for extension and settlement applications for the period you are with Shard Capital. Once your historical data has been verified, we are able to cover such period in your letter.
In order to minimise your visa risk, please discuss with your Relationship Manager and Immigration lawyer if you are awaiting a decision from the Home Office.
If you have an account with one or more of these banks you will be required to sign an additional form which will be sent by your Relationship Manager. Your account numbers and other details at your bank will remain the same.
